Police seek help identifying suspect in attempted kidnapping of 13-year-old girl in Washougal

WASHOUGAL, Wash. — A 13-year-old girl told police an unknown man chased her and tried to grab her while she was walking home Monday night in Washougal. Police said the girl was able to get away and make it home safely.

The Washougal Police Department said the reported attempted kidnapping happened Monday around 7:22 p.m. near the intersection of 6th Street and C Street in Washougal.

The girl told police the suspect was a white man in his 40s. She said he was about 5-foot-10 and was wearing a black Seattle Seahawks beanie, a dark brown jacket, blue pants. He had a backpack with a small American flag attached to it.

Washougal police ask anyone with information that could help identify the suspect to contact police the Washougal Police Department via 311.
