Police identify man who died after shooting in Northeast Portland

The shooting happened on Northeast Faloma Road near 13th Avenue on Dec. 31, 2023. Another man who was shot and treated at the hospital has been released.

Skyler Stuckey, 21, was shot and killed in Northeast Portland on Dec. 31, 2023, according to Portland police.

PORTLAND, Ore. — Police have released the name of the man who died following a shooting on New Year's Eve in Northeast Portland's East Columbia neighborhood.

Portland police identified him as 21-year-old Skyler Stuckey of Albany. The medical examiner determined that he died by gunshot wounds and ruled his death a homicide.

The shooting happened at 8:09 p.m. Sunday in the area of Northeast Faloma Road near 13th Avenue. Officers arrived and found two men who'd been shot. Both were taken to the hospital, where Stuckey died. The second man — an 18-year-old who wasn't identified — was treated and released. Police said he is recovering.

No arrested have been made. PPB homicide detectives are investigating.
