PORTLAND, Ore. — Each week, KGW provides a list of events you may want to try in the Portland area over the weekend.
Here are our picks for this weekend, whether you're feeling the Halloween spirit or not:
We all know Halloween is just one day, but for the town of Saint Helens, it’s a celebration that lasts the entire month of October. All the festivities are not only to celebrate Halloween but also to commemorate a beloved Disney movie "Halloweentown." Just outside of City Hall you’ll find a giant pumpkin, where the Big Square is decorated. It’s not just the square that’s filled with everything Halloween, most of the businesses have been decorated too.

Hundreds of witches will meet up at Willamette Park and then hit the river to cackle their way north toward Tom McCall Waterfront Park, "casting spells along the way."
Note: This event is meant for stand up paddleboard enthusiasts only; it's not a leisurely "float" event.

There are three haunted houses under the umbrella of the Underhill Haunted House. The first grownup section has a Victorian theme. The other two for the grownups: clowns and infectious diseases. This weekend the fourth option, Kids' Monster Fest, kicks off for children 12 and under. Monster Fest happens in the afternoon and the fun for older kids and adults starts at night.

The Rogue Brewing team has carefully hand-picked loads of fresh pumpkins from Rogue Farms, just so you can go smash them. If your killer instinct just isn't kicking in, there's also pumpkin bowling, pumpkin decorating and pumpkin carving. Proceeds go to Camp UKANDU.

Take your Halloween costume and decorations to the next level by decorating with vintage pieces from America's Largest Antique and Collectible Show. Or just looks for antiques and collectibles that aren't about Halloween at all. That'll be there too.

Join Mickey and his friends on a brand-new adventure as they follow Captain Hook’s treasure map in the search for Tinker Bell, explore the spirit realm from "Coco" with Miguel, sail away with Moana as she bravely saves her island, and see Belle, Elsa and many more familiar Disney characters from "Aladdin," "Toy Story," and "The Little Mermaid."

Harvest Fest is the annual end of market festival, celebrating the harvest season in Hillsboro. Join in the pumpkin carving contest or show off your best chili in the chili cook-off. The kids can meet our buddy Napoleon the Alpaca ...

... Speaking of Napoleon, his old friend Rojo the Llama is retiring from public appearances and a long and illustrious career. You bid him farewell at his retirement party downtown on Sunday.
