PORTLAND, Ore. — Voodoo Doughnut announces the return of a fan favorite, the Cherry Time (and the lemon’s easy) doughnut.

The summertime classic is topped with vanilla frosting, lemonade dust, yellow sprinkles and filled with cherry jelly.

Voodoo Doughnut said it will donate a portion of the sales of each Cherry Time doughnut sold to the Autistic Self Advocacy Network (ASAN) as part of their new quarterly giving back campaign.

“Coming from a family who has experienced the challenges and more importantly, the joy of someone with autism, I am really happy to be a part of this sweet partnership,” said Voodoo Doughnut co-founder, Kenneth “Cat Daddy” Pogson.

“ASAN works to create a more just and inclusive society for all people with disabilities, and we're excited for this opportunity to partner with Voodoo Doughnut. Through policy advocacy, resource development and leadership training, we work to make sure that autistic people's voices are heard when it comes to policy issues that affect our lives. This fundraiser is a sweet way to support our work!” said a statement from the Autistic Self Advocacy Network.
