LONG BEACH, Wash. — A woman suspected of killing her husband in Portland last month, sparking a weeks-long police search effort, has been found dead in the coastal town of Long Beach in southwest Washington, the Portland Police Bureau (PPB) announced Wednesday.

Analiesa Golde apparently died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound, according to a police news release. Police did not say exactly where or how she was found, but said her Toyota 4Runner has been recovered by law enforcement. Police had previously asked the public to be on the lookout for the vehicle.

Golde's husband, 37-year-old Phillip Pierce, was reported missing on the morning of Jan. 26. A police search narrowed in on a home in Portland's Lents neighborhood, where officers forced entry for a welfare check and found Pierce dead. Homicide detectives were called in due to suspicious circumstances at the scene, and the county medical examiner's office later confirmed that Pierce had been killed by a gunshot wound.

A few days later, PPB later announced that Golde had been identified as a suspect in the case and she was wanted on a charge of second-degree murder. They asked the public to be on the lookout for her and her 4Runner, and announced on Feb. 6 that the search area had expanded to include southwest Washington. Police said Golde might have been in Toutle or around Mount St. Helens.

PPB reiterated on Wednesday that anyone with information about the case is still asked to contact Detective Brad Clifton at 503-823-0696 or Detective Calvin Goldring at 503-823-0256 and reference case number 24-19762.
