Taliese Fuaga to Saints, Anthony Gould to Colts: Oregon State Beavers selected in 2024 NFL Draft

PORTLAND, Ore. — The 2024 NFL Draft is Thursday through Saturday in Detroit, Michigan, and a handful of players from Oregon State are expected to be selected.

Beavers drafted sofar include offensive tackle Taliese Fuaga and two local players: safety Kitan Oladapo, who prepped at Central Catholic, and wide receiver Anthony Gould, who starred at West Salem. Other Oregon State players may sign on with teams after the draft as undrafted free agents.

How to watch

The draft will be broadcast on ESPN, ABC and NFL Network.

Thursday: Round 1, 5 p.m.

Friday: Rounds 2-3, 4 p.m.

Saturday: Rounds 4-7, 9 a.m.

Oregon State players drafted

The following Beavers players were drafted during the seven rounds of the NFL Draft:

Taliese Fuaga, offensive tackle

Draft position: New Orleans Saints, 14th pick, 1st round 

Bio: The 6-foot-6 senior was a second-team AP All-American and first-team All-Pac-12. Second team All-Pac-12 as a junior. Started 25 games over the past two seasons at Oregon State. 

What they said: "A team could slide him to guard to improve its interior protection, but he’s best suited at right tackle, where he should become a good starter." - NFL analyst Lance Zierlein (read more) 

Anthony Gould, wide receiver

Draft position: Indianapolis Colts, seventh pick of fifth round (142nd overall)

Bio: The 5-8 senior was honorable mention All-Pac-12 at receiver. He had 718 yards on 44 catches and two touchdowns. A skilled return specialist, he also averaged 16.1 yards on punt returns.

What they said: "He can step in as a catch-and-run specialist with punt return talent but has the capability to offer more in the future." - NFL analyst Lance Zierlein (read more)

Kitan Oladapo, safety

Draft position: Green Bay Packers, 34th pick, 5th round 

Bio: The 6-2 senior was second-team All-Pac-12. He led the team with two interceptions and eight pass breakups. He had 74 tackles, three tackles for loss, a sack and a forced fumble in 13 starts. 

What they said: "He's likely to come in as a backup with special teams duties but has a pretty good shot of becoming an eventual starter." - NFL analyst Lance Zierlein (read more
