PULLMAN, Wash. — The final Washington State Cougar to be drafted today was former Coug cornerback Chau Smith-Wade. He was drafted 157th overall in the fifth round of the NFL Draft by the Carolina Panthers.
Smith-Wade spent his entire college career with Wazzu he tallied 103 tackles, 21 passes defended, three interceptions and three forced fumbles. This past season, Smith-Wade started in seven games before missing the final five due to injury.
