Man killed in Vancouver after being struck by vehicle near Northeast Parkway Drive

A 37-year-old man was transported to a hospital after a crash, where he later died.

PORTLAND, Ore. — A pedestrian is dead after a driver struck them near an office building in Vancouver, Washington on Feb. 18.

On Monday, Clark County Medical Examiner's office identified a man killed in a vehicle collision with a pedestrian on Northeast Parkway drive as 37-year-old Michael Cromwell.

The driver was pulling out of a parking lot near 8100 Northeast Parkway Drive, making an eastbound turn onto Parkway Drive, when they hit a man. The man was transported to a hospital where he later died.

Police said that the driver remained at the scene and that there were no signs of impairment.

It is the second fatal traffic crash the Vancouver Police Department has investigated in 2024, according to the news release.
