'Targeted' shooting at Le Bistro Montage, 1 critically injured

People took shelter inside a locked room in the restaurant and heard multiple gunshots, police said.

PORTLAND, Ore. — Portland police are investigating an overnight shooting at Le Bistro Montage in Southeast Portland.

The call about the shooting happened at 12:30 a.m., during the time the restaurant was still open.

Police wouldn't say where the shooting occurred but did say they believe it was a targeted shooting. People took shelter inside a locked room in the restaurant and heard multiple gunshots, police said.

As police investigated the shooting, a man arrived at a nearby hospital with a gunshot wound. He is in critical condition. Police wouldn't say where they believe the man was shot, if he was inside or outside the restaurant.

At this point, police do not have a suspect in custody and tell KGW there could be several people involved in the shooting. The gang enforcement team is investigating.

Police are speaking with witnesses right now and were keeping some of those witnesses warm in a Trimet bus.

They are also asking for anyone with information to give them a call and say the public is not in any danger. The Portland Police Bureau non-emergency line is 503-823-3333.
