Kyle is a courageous young lady committed to the prevention of youth suicide. Kyle organized A Walk to Stop in Battle Ground earlier this year. The purpose of the event was to draw attention to the growing tragedy of youth suicide. Hundreds of people came out to support the event. All donations benefitted the Youth Suicide Prevention Program. Plans are already underway for a 2013 walk.
It s extraordinary efforts like this that make our community a better place to live. We congratulate Kyle for being selected as KGW s Rachel s Challenge Hero of the Month. Kyle will receive a $100 gift card courtesy of Sterling Bank.
