KGW launches new podcast 'Grant's Getaways'

Grant McOmie is sharing his vast knowledge of Oregon’s outdoors and his warm storytelling style in a new podcast launching today.

PORTLAND, Ore — For the past four decades, outdoor reporter and television host Grant McOmie has told the stories of the people, places, outdoor activities and environmental issues of the Pacific Northwest. Now, in a time when everyone is looking for new ways to escape, McOmie is sharing his vast knowledge of Oregon’s outdoors and his warm storytelling style in a new podcast launching today from KGW, “Grants Getaways”.

McOmie is the host of the “Grant’s Getaways” television program, which airs on KGW and explores the Pacific Northwest’s back roads and byways. On his podcast, each episode will transport you to one of Oregon’s hidden gems or unexpected treasures. Close your eyes and travel from the great indoors to the great outdoors as McOmie spins a yarn so descriptive, it’s almost like you’re there!
