PORTLAND, Ore. – A Clackamas County homeowner is fed up with drivers crashing into his property. It's happened over and over again.

Gregg Langley's home sits at the end of a t-intersection at Southeast Alberta Street and Bell Avenue between Milwaukie and SE Portland.

"They come flying up the hill," Langley said.

So to fix the problem, Clackamas County made the street markings larger, got a bigger stop sign, new double arrow sign, and installed an end of road marker.

"What they suggested so far is nothing that is going to save our lives, possibly from someone flying up this hill," Langley said.

"With many of these things, when we are putting in these traffic control devices, it is a bit of traffic engineering and psychology," said Joseph Marek, Clackamas County traffic engineering supervisor.

The county will see if the fixes work. If not, they'll make additional improvements.
