Aloha High School student arrested for drug distribution, gun charges

The student was arrested after a traffic stop where investigators found multiple guns, cash, scales, ammunition, a knife, various drugs and more.

ALOHA, Ore. — A student at Aloha High School was arrested for his involvement in drug distribution and is facing multiple charges, including illegal possession of firearms, according to the Washington County Sheriff's Office (WCSO).

WCSO said investigators had information regarding the student posting images on various social platforms showcasing himself with large amounts of cash, illegal drugs and guns.

On March 12, investigators conducted a traffic stop on a car that the student was driving near Southwest 163rd Avenue. After stopping the car, the student took off running. Deputies were able to find the student and arrest him, according to WCSO.

During the arrest, officials found a semi-automatic “ghost” gun, two Glock 9mm magazines, ammunition, scales, suspected cocaine, marijuana, liquid promethazine, a knife, spent casings and cash, deputies said.

The student was taken to the Washington County Juvenile Services Building and faces charges of unlawful possession of a firearm, commercial drug offenses related to cocaine possession and marijuana possession.

“Obviously, anyone that has a ‘ghost’ gun and narcotics and is most likely dealing to high school students — it’s a huge priority for us to make sure that gets off the streets and out of the hands of individuals who could get really hurt by it,” said Sgt. Danny DiPietro with the Washington County Sheriff’s Office.

WCSO investigated with the Westside Interagency Narcotics Team and detectives from the investigation division.

Deputies said it's a good reminder educators and community members should report any suspicious activities or concerns regarding drug distribution or guns to local authorities.

The investigation is ongoing, and anyone with information is asked to call the WCSO at 503-856-2700.
