Country singer Trace Adkins is the kickoff singer for the 2019 Pendleton Round-Up, event officials announced Friday.

The concert will be Saturday, Sept. 7.

“I’m gonna bring a band and turn it up real loud and we’re gonna have a good time!” said Adkins, 57, a Louisiana native.

Known for his deep baritone, Adkins has sold 11 million albums. His top Billboard hits are "Ladies Love Country Boys", "Hillbilly Bone" (with Blake Shelton), "You're Gonna Miss This" and "(This Ain't) No Thinkin' Thing.

He was the Academy of Country Music Top New Male Vocalist in 1996 and snagged the Country Music Television Male Video of the Year in 2008. He also won "Celebrity Apprentice 6" in 2013, beating out Penn Gillette and Lisa Rinna.
