Three men break into bike storage room, use power tools to steal 5 bikes

Portland Police say the bikes are worth about 10 thousand dollars

PORTLAND, Ore. — Portland Police released security video that shows 3 men break into a bike storage room inside the Ankeny Street Apartments in southeast.

The crime happened on October 10th just before 4am.

The video lasts just over 3 minutes and it shows right away the men scouting out the different bikes and then quickly get to work. One of the men even uses a power screwdriver to take off a bike rack, while another uses some sort of a grinder to cut through a lock.

Police say five bikes were stolen from the room.

In total, Portland Police say the bikes are worth about $10,000.
