Police searching for alleged carjacker in Portland

PORTLAND, Ore. — Portland police are investigating after one person was injured during a carjacking early Saturday morning. 

According to the Portland Police Bureau, around 4:30 a.m. near Southeast 42nd Avenue and Woodstock Boulevard, a man who had been sleeping in a car said a suspect fired a gunshot through the closed window. PPB said the car did not belong to the man. 

The man, who has not been identified, was not shot but was injured by glass shrapnel. The suspect then, according to PPB, stole the car. 

No arrests have been made.
