PORTLAND, Ore. — A man was shot and killed and another person was injured after gunfire broke out early Tuesday morning near the Glass House Tavern at 9710 Northeast Sandy Boulevard, according to Portland police.
Tajheondre M. Price, 27, of Eugene, Oregon, died at the scene. The Oregon State Medical Examiner determined Price died of multiple gunshot wounds.
Officers were dispatched at 1:35 a.m. to reports of gunfire and found Price on the sidewalk near the tavern.
At the same time, a hospital informed dispatchers that a man had arrived by private vehicle with a gunshot wound. Police believe he was shot in the same incident. The man at the hospital was expected to survive.
Police did not release any information about a suspect, but said they do not believe the community is in danger.
