HILLSBORO, Ore. — A man was convicted last week of multiple sex crimes involving three teenage girls. Detectives believe there may be more victims.

Beaverton police began investigating Rondrae Devante Jefferson in November 2017 after receiving a report by one of his three known victims.

During the investigation, detectives said they discovered two more victims. Authorities said in all three cases Jefferson had used social media to arrange to meet with them in person.

Investigators said the first known attack happened in 2015 when Jefferson invited a then 16-year-old to a party. The victim said she was violently assaulted by Jefferson before he raped her. The victim reported the attack to several friends afterward.

The second victim was 15 years old when she agreed to meet Jefferson. The victim said she was taken to a nearby park and sexually assaulted in his car.

The third victim was 17 years old when Jefferson invited her to a house party where she became intoxicated. The victim said Jefferson followed her into a bedroom where he assaulted her.

On June 28, Jefferson was found guilty of first-degree forcible rape, third-degree rape and three counts of second-degree sex abuse.

A sentence hearing is scheduled for Aug. 9.

Detectives believe there may be additional victims who have yet to come forward. They urge anyone who may have information on crimes involving Jefferson to contact their local police.
