The suspects assaulted and robbed a woman after she opened the garage door of her home, Gresham police said.

GRESHAM, Ore. — Three people under the age of 18 are in custody, accused of assaulting and robbing a woman at her home Monday evening, Gresham police said.

Officers responded around 8:15 p.m. to the area of Southwest Eastman Parkway and Southwest 4th Street, off Powell Boulevard. Police learned that three suspects had assaulted and robbed a woman after she opened the garage door of her home.

More officers responded and surrounded the area to search for the suspects, with the help of a drone, and a Gresham police K-9 officer and a Multnomah County Sheriff's Office K-9 deputy. Law enforcement found two suspects, both minors, hiding in the backyard of a nearby home. Shortly after, they found a third suspect, also a minor. Officers finished searching the neighborhood around 1 a.m. Gresham police did not release the names of the suspects or their exact ages, and did not say what charges they may be facing.

The woman was treated for her injuries at a hospital, but Gresham police didn't provide any other details about her condition or the extent of her injuries.

Gresham police said they're investigating and will not release any other information at this time.
