PORTLAND, Ore. — The designs for the Doernbecher Children's Hospital’s 19th annual Freestyle partnership with Nike have finally dropped.

Through the OHSU Foundation, this year’s six patients designed six individual shoes with the help of Nike (NYSE: NKE) designers based on a variety of Nike silhouettes: an Air Jordan III, a Nike Dunk High, a Nike Go FlyEase, a Nike ACG Mountain Fly 2 Low, a Nike Cortez and a Nike Air Max 1 ’86.

These unique pairs of shoes will launch on eBay for purchase in December, according to Nike. Historically, the shoes created from this partnership have been purchased by patients' friends and families, but in recent years, Doernbecher sneakers and apparel have become popular with collectors because of their uniqueness.

Bidding on the shoes can now sometimes reach upwards of thousands of dollars.

To date, the program has raised more than $33 million, and all sales and proceeds go to the hospital to help cover the cost of care for families in need, expand pioneering research and support specialized care.

This year, patients range in ages from 8 to 15, and their shoe designs are all crafted based on their life stories, dreams and passions. The patients and their shoes this year are:

  • 14-year-old Sydney Little from Portland.
  • 15-year-old Macey Bodily from Yacolt, Washington.
  • 8-year-old Hailey Leyva from Clackamas.
  • 14-year-old Hugo Covarrubias Molina from Hermiston.
  • 14-year-old Christopher Musquiz, Jr. from Winston.
  • 12-year-old Garrett Amerson from Yamhill.
