Kosher food delivered to Portland area Holocaust survivors

PORTLAND, Ore — Volunteers on Tuesday delivered Kosher-certified food to more than 100 Holocaust survivors currently living in the Portland area.

Jewish Family and Child Service is partnering with the Sunshine Division on the new kosher food program.

Many of the recipients have limited mobility and can’t leave their homes. So, they depend on this food and the volunteers.

“I’m very passionate about this population. I had family that was lost in the Holocaust and so I really want to support the members of our community that are still with us,” said volunteer Megan Leftwich.
