PORTLAND, Oregon — March is finally here, another month closer to summer meaning more to do across the Rose City. If you're looking for something fun to do, you have options: From a seafood and wine festival to watching massive stunts at Monster Jam — no matter what you're in the mood for, there's something for everyone. 

Here are 8 things to do around Portland this weekend. 

Portland Jazz Festival

When: Feb. 16 - March 2
Where: More than 30 venues across the Portland metro
What's going on: The Portland Jazz Festival is back for its 21st year in the Rose City. The two-week event is put together by the nonprofit PDX Jazz each February to celebrate Black History Month. The festival kicked off with a sold-out show by award-winning musician Jon Batiste at the Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall in Portland.

Cascade Festival of African Films

When: Feb. 2 - March 2
Where: Portland Community College, 705 North Killingsworth Street, Portland
What's going on: In celebration of Black History Month, the Portland Community College Cascade Campus is offering this free in-person festival to the public. The festival will showcase films that celebrate Africa's achievements and show Africa through the eyes of Africans. The films that will be showcased this weekend are "Goodbye Julia," "Catching Feelings" and "Four Daughters." The festival is free to the public all month long.

Palestinian Film Festival

When: March 1-3
Where: Fifth Avenue Cinema, 510 Southwest Hall, Portland
What's going on: Several local organizations — including 5th Avenue Cinema, La Casa Latina Student Center and Disarm PSU — will be hosting the Palestinian Film Festival. The festival will be held at a student-run cinema. There will be four screenings, including 5 Broken Cameras, which was shot by Palestinian farmer Emad Burnat. The film focuses on nonviolent resistance efforts in Bil'in, a West Bank village threatened by Israeli military occupation and encroaching settlements. The festival is free and will require an RSVP, which can be accessed through PSU Connect

18th Annual Portland Seafood & Wine Festival 

When: March 1-3
Where: Portland Expo Center, 2060 North Marine Drive, Portland
What's going on: Calling all seafood lovers! It's that time of year again — peak Dungeness crab season, of course. The Annual Portland Seafood & Wine Festival is back for its 18th year in the Rose City. There will be over 40 wineries, live music, and even an appearance from Deadliest Catch star Captain Keith Colburn.

Dungeons and Drag Queens

When: March 2, 8-10 p.m.
Where: Mission Theater Northwest, 1624 NW Glisan, Portland
What's going on: Look for a comedy show where improve meets drag, well here is your chance! Dungeons and Drag Queens is a comedic drag show making its way across the country. Described as "fantasy and hilarity on a magical journey" by the South Seattle Emerald. Make your way over for one of the most dramatic drag of laughter you'll experience.

Portland Golf Show

When: March 1-3
Where: Portland Expo Center, 2060 North Marine Drive, Portland
What's going on: Looking for something to do, swing by to the Portland Golf show! The show will feature name-brand clubs and equipment at the lowest prices, free lessons from top Northwest pros and more. Portland Golf Show is considered to be the longest-running and most successful on the West Coast.

Black Restaurant Week

When: Feb. 23 - March 3
Where: Multiple locations across Portland
What's going on: Portland's Black Restaurant Week is back for another year! The event celebrates the flavors of African American, African and Caribbean cuisine. It showcases Black-owned restaurants across the Northwest region. Many Portland area restaurants will be participating in the national campaign.

Monster Jam

When: March 1-3
Where: Moda Center, 1 North Center Court, Portland
What's going on: Monsters are set to invade the Rose City — monster trucks, that is. The most action-packed motorsports event on four wheels returns for a thrilling weekend. Witness crazy skills and massive stunts from experienced competitors, including Grave Digger, El Toro Loco and more. Tickets start at $28.
