Award-winning sports columnist John Canzano provides sports commentary to KGW's weekly sports program, Sports Sunday.
Canzano is the lead sports columnist for The Oregonian newspaper and host of his top-rated daily afternoon-drive radio program, "The Bald Faced Truth" on 750 The Game.
The Portland based columnist and radio broadcaster has earned numerous awards for his work, including in 2010 when he was named America's #1 sports columnist by both the Society of Professional Journalists and the Press Club of Atlantic City. In 2009, Canzano was voted the country's top sports columnist by the Associated Press Sports Editors. He has been recognized as one of the country's top investigative sports reporters.
Canzano makes weekly appearances on KGW's Sports Sunday program following regular season games of NBC's Sunday Night football. He also appears on the station's newscasts throughout the year with insight into major sports stories and breaking sports news.
"I'm excited to bring my unfiltered opinions, commentary and analysis to the KGW team," said Canzano. "Viewers may not always agree with me, but I'll challenge them to think deeper and ask more of their sports teams and personalities."
