Clark County Jail inmate tests positive for coronavirus

The inmate was released from jail on Monday but the test results came in Tuesday.

VANCOUVER, Wash. — An inmate at the Clark County Jail tested positive for the coronavirus, the sheriff’s office said.

The inmate was released from jail on Monday but the test results came in Tuesday.

The person was locked in a negative-airflow cell the entire time they were in custody.

Jail staff members have been wearing masks and gloves during the pandemic.

No additional information was released.
