Cooler air begins arriving today

Cool down with shower chances this weekend
KGW Forecast: 5 p.m., Wednesday, May 15, 2024

PORTLAND, Oregon — Wednesday's Portland high of 83 degrees looks to be the last sunny day with 80 degree temps in a good week or more as we look forward.

A push of low marine clouds will over take Portland and parts of the valley this morning.  The clouds from the Rose City and to the north may be stubborn to break, holding highs to 70 degrees this afternoon.  Traces of rain will be possible this evening.

A stronger chance of showers comes on Saturday and Sunday with a mix of cloudiness, sun breaks and weekend highs in the low to mid 60s.

The cool weather pattern stays in place through much of next week.  Our best chance for decent rain amounts on the 7day forecast arrives Tuesday and into Wednesday.
