PORTLAND, Ore. -- Comcast's internet service is experiencing outages in several major U.S. cities, including Portland.
There were more than 2,500 outages reported as of noon Monday, though the number of reported outages surged to more than 10,000 at around 10 a.m., according to downdetector.com.
The majority of reported issues are for internet outages. Television and phone services have not been affected as much.
Comcast has confirmed the issue and issued an apology via social media.
