PORTLAND, Ore. — Clara Honsinger reached a goal she set for herself at the start of the Cyclocross racing season.
She wanted to go to the Cyclocross World Championships in the Netherlands. She finished second at the U-23 Nationals and qualified for Team USA.
Cyclocross is a specific kind of bike racing. Most of the course is off-road but there can be pavement along with grass, dirt, mud, gravel and even some obstacles. Honsinger rides for Team S&M CX most of the time. She’ll be part of Team USA for the World Championships. She calls it “very challenging."
