PORTLAND, Ore. – Tickets were selling fast on Friday, for the smash Broadway hit Hamilton. The touring show is coming to Portland’s Keller Auditorium March 20 through April 8, and seats are a hot commodity.
Tickets went on sale at 10 a.m. at the box office, online and over the phone. People lined up outside Portland’s Center for the Arts Box Office on Southwest Broadway overnight to get the best shot at tickets.
The first person in line was thrilled to get front row box seats.
“I mean this is the show of the decade, this is the show everybody’s talking about. I can’t wait to see it myself right here in Portland.”
Tickets through Broadway in Portland ranged from $80 to 175 dollars, with some premium seats priced at $500 dollars. Buying from other secondary sellers is risky and prices run into thousands of dollars per seat.
