Bend, Oregon alone has over 30 breweries, which puts it among the cities with the most breweries per capita in the U.S.

PORTLAND, Ore — With over 280 breweries in the state, Oregon has no shortage of good beer.

Bend alone has over 30 breweries, which puts it among the cities with the most breweries per capita in the U.S. The Bend-based Deschutes Brewery is one of the top 10 largest craft-beer producers in the U.S., according to the Brewers Association.

Even with the craft-brewing rush in Bend, it may not be the best city to start your next beer-brewing endeavor. A recent survey ranking the best places to start a brewery included five cities in Oregon and southwest Washington, including Bend and Portland.
