Are you ready to wing it? Here are the best options for Wing Week in Portland

This year's event features 45 restaurants and bars offering 6 wings for $5.

PORTLAND, Ore. — Portland Mercury's 'Portland Wing Week' makes a finger-licking return to Portland June 24-29 with a wide array of one-of-a-kind chicken wings at select locations. This year's event will feature 45 restaurants and bars offering six wings for $5.

Here's what you need to know before heading out to get your fingers on the wings: 

  • Portland Mercury's "Portland Wing Week' is one of Portland's most popular events. If the restaurant or bar is sold out, head to another location or come back the next day.

In honor of the annual event, here are KGW's top picks for Portland Mercury's 'Portland Wing Week 2019.'

Mando's


Mando’s will be offering their Spicy Cherry Pomegranate chicken wings made from 100% organic pomegranate and cherry juice, ginger, chili paste, garlic and other ingredients for a nice balance between sweet and spicy.

Boke Bowl


Boke Bowl is serving up the Boke Green Wings that are made with coriander and anise brine. They are then cold smoked and fried with a Thai and serrano chile cilantro sauce.

Alibi Restaurant and Lounge

If you're looking for something sweet with a kick Alibi Restaurant and Lounge has you covered with their Aloha Wings. The Aloha Wings are made by frying the wings with pineapple, blackstrap rum and sambal sauce to achieve the perfect sweet and spicy taste.

The Lamp

The Lamp's Harrissa Honey Wings is the "Sweet, sticky, and spicy, inspired by the food souks of Marrakesh" you've been looking for. The wings are marinated in spicy Moroccan harissa (a super-hot paste of garlic, chili peppers, and ground red peppers), roasted, deep fried and then tossed in a honey and thyme glaze. 

Kim Jong Smoke House

Kim Jong Smokehouse is taking wing week to another level by doing their version of Nashville hot chicken. The wings are breaded and fried, dipped in Gochugaru (Korean chili powder) spice with kimchee served over white bread.
