Man battling Alzheimer's pairs with pianist to save a life's worth of original songs
Steve Goodwin composed dozens of original songs throughout his life -- for the love of his wife, for his children, or simply for fun. But when he was diagnosed with early on-set Alzheimer's, those melodies he knew so well started to fade. His daughter helped him meet Naomi LaViolette, a professional pianist with perfect pitch. The two have worked for years to recreate and record those songs that otherwise would have been a distant memory.
