KGW Archive: Voodoo Doughnut opens in 2003
Back before the pink boxes you see all over PDX, VooDoo Doughnut was a small upstart shop started by business partners Tres Shannon and Kenneth “Cat Daddy” Pogson with the idea of doing things just a little differently. OK, maybe very differently. From their hole-in-the-wall shop behind a nondescript door in Portland’s Old Town, KGW reporter Jack Penning spoke with the owners about their inexperience and their big new contract for the LPGA Women’s Open, which was in Oregon that year.
