As death from cancer nears, Beaverton world evangelist Luis Palau reflects on his life
Luis Palau came to Portland from Argentina in the early 1960s, attending what is now Multnomah Bible Seminary. He has led evangelical rallies around the world and is the so-called 'Billy Graham of South America.' He learned in 2017 he has terminal cancer. "And so one of the roles you have is to say to people, don't delay too long because there are only two airports to land on the other side. In English they both start with the letter H. One is heaven, it's recommended. The other, I won't say, but it's not recommended."
