PORTLAND, Ore. -- A woman was killed by a hit and run driver early Thursday morning, according to Portland police.
Officers were dispatched about 12:50 a.m. to Southeast 148th Avenue and Stark Street on reports of a pedestrian struck. Medical crews pronounced her dead at the scene.
Based on an early analysis, she used a crosswalk on the east side of 148th and had a walk signal when she was hit.
The driver left the scene. Further information was not available.
