SPOKANE, Wash. — Thanks to plenty of rain and snow on the ground, fog is easy to come by to start the morning Wednesday. The next several mornings are likely to include plenty of low clouds and fog. The afternoon will stay dry and a bit of the sun will show if those clouds clear. High temperatures are expected around the mid 40s which is roughly in line with average.

Dry skies continue Thursday but rain comes around for Friday. This will likely be a wetting event bringing a widespread system across the Cascades that will linger into the weekend.

Saturday and Sunday both carry a chance of rain too, but right now clouds look more likely on Saturday with rain on Sunday. The plus side: temperatures are progressively warming as the weekend comes around. Sunday and Monday are expected to hit the low 50s in many spots, bringing temperatures close to 10 degrees above normal.
