PORTLAND, Ore. — Thousands of people across Oregon have been without power Friday amid a storm that has brought wet and gusty conditions.
Many of the outages are on the North Coast, which has been hit especially hard with heavy rainfall.
High water and flooding has been reported on roads throughout the area. The photos below show flooding near Seaside.
Outages have also been reported in Portland, including at the Hollywood Fred Meyer in Northeast Portland where an employee said a transformer blew out.
The stormy conditions have led to downed trees across the Portland metro area. The picture below shows a tree that fell on a car in Beaverton.
While the rain let up a little bit Friday afternoon, stormy conditions are expected to return Friday night through Saturday. River levels are expected to rise and potentially flood.
