PORTLAND, Ore. — Icy conditions and several truck spinouts closed Interstate 84 from Troutdale to Hood River for several hours early Thursday morning, according to the Oregon Department of Transportation.

Chains are required this morning through the Gorge.

Several tractor-trailers got stuck near Bonneville Dam, according to ODOT. They were removed and ODOT crews salted, sanded and graded the lanes in the area, which were reopened about 6 a.m.

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning through the Gorge until 4 p.m., with several inches of snow possible over a thin layer of ice. Travel will be treacherous through the Gorge, the weather service warns.
