BANKS, Ore. — Highway 26 has reopened to traffic after after a downed tree closed both directions about five miles west of Banks.

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office tweeted about the closure shortly after 2 p.m. The highway remained closed as crews worked to clear the road.

Traffic was detoured onto Highway 47 to Fisher Road, then back to Highway 26.

Banks Fire District said a storm that moved through the area knocked the tree down.
