DALLAS – 7-Eleven is testing mobile ordering on its app at select stores in Dallas, the company announced Wednesday.

The Texas-based company will test delivery and in-store pickups with the new 7-ElevenNOW app at 10 downtown and seven uptown stores.

Customers in the Dallas area who enroll in the app will receive a free delivery on their first order. The app is available on Google Play and the Apple App stores.

If customers choose the delivery option, the app will auto-locate the nearest participating store. Once the order is placed, it will send the delivery to a courier service. The courier picks up the customer’s products and delivers them to the customer.

How quickly 7-ElevenNOW expands to other parts of the country likely depends on the success of the Dallas trial.
