SALEM, Ore. -- Taylor Gibson is making a big name for herself in the sport of precision shooting.
She just won the JROTC national championship for the second year in a row, the first time that’s ever been done.

She also set two national records along the way in the air rifle competition. Taylor said she felt good going into the competition.
“I wanted to win because I won it last year. My main priority was shooting the best that I could," she said.
Taylor shoots for the JROTC team at North Salem High School. Her coach, Jim Wagner says “to do what she’s doing at the level she’s doing it at has been pretty amazing.”
Taylor’s next competition is the Junior Olympics in April. Her long term goal is to make the Olympic team in 2020.
