Seahawks wide receiver Doug Baldwin 'for sure' ready for regular season

Seahawk Doug Baldwin may have to miss the preseason, but he will be ready to go for game one of the regular season.

Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Doug Baldwin has participated in just two training camp practices this summer. Sidelined since the first week with a knee injury, Baldwin is expected to miss the entire preseason.

Coach Pete Carroll confirmed Tuesday morning Baldwin will be ready for the start of the regular season.

“Doug for sure (will play Week 1 of the regular season),” Carroll told 710 ESPN’s Brock and Salk. “Dion (Jordan), we won’t know until we get him back out there. We know exactly what’s going on with Doug. He’s going to be able to make it back.”

Jordan has been suffering from a stress issue in his leg but unrelated to his recent surgery.

“It’s gonna be a while,” Carroll said of Jordan. “The word is it’s gonna be a while. He’s got a little bit of healing to do, so it’s gonna be a while.”

Carroll should update the additional Seahawks injuries during his press conference Wednesday before Seattle faces Indianapolis Thursday night for their first preseason game of the year.
