Oregon linebacker Fotu Leiato was arrested Wednesday night on misdemeanor charges of criminal mischief and theft, according to a report by the Register-Guard.

Leiato, a 5-foot-11 and 202-pound senior, is accused of removing a parking boot from his car.

“We are aware of the situation and are in the process of gathering all of the information,” Oregon coach Mario Cristobal said in a statement to the Register-Guard. “We hold our student-athletes to high standards and will take appropriate action once all of the facts have been reviewed.”

Leiato also faces a criminal trespass charge stemming from earlier this year for an incident when he allegedly didn't pay for a Lane Transit District bus ride. He also refused to show his Oregon student ID, which he was carrying.

He then returned to the bus station after being banned, according to the Register-Guard report. He failed to appear in court on April 9 for that incident.

Leiato had five tackles and three sacks on Saturday in the Ducks' annual spring game at Autzen Stadium.
