OREGON CITY, Ore. -- Oregon City High School senior Ben Sisul is one of the leaders of the school’s basketball team. The team is doing well but he’s making a name for himself in slam dunk contests.
He raised some eyebrows when he finished second in the contest at the 2014 Les Schwab Invitational. Since then, he won the Oregonian's dunk contest and one in Red Bluff California.
At 6-foot-4, Sisul isn’t always the tallest competitor, but he tries to be creative. He’s even gotten some tips from his uncle Bob Sisul who played at Portland State and professionally in France.
Ben says his signature is jumping over teammates.
While winning a dunk contest is fun, he still says it’s better to dunk in a game before the home crowd.
The Oregon City High School basketball team finishes the regular season this week, then heads to the state tournament.
