WEST LINN, Ore. – West Linn city councilor Bob Martin has taken a leave of absence amid allegations of sexual harassment.
The city made the announcement Thursday.
The Oregonian/OregonLive reports during a city council meeting earlier this month, Martin was accused of “repeated and unwanted sexual advances” by Emily Smith, a member of West Linn’s Committee for Citizen Involvement.
The claims were made during a public comment portion of the meeting. Martin did not attend the meeting.
The city said Jill Goldsmith, an attorney with Workplace Solutions Northwest, is investigating the allegations.
Martin was elected to West Linn City Council in 2015.
