Are you registered to vote? The deadline is Tuesday

The deadline to vote in Oregon's Nov. 5 special election is 11:59 p.m. on Tuesday. You can register online or at a local office.

PORTLAND, Ore. — Are you registered to vote? The deadline to vote in Oregon's Nov. 5 special election is 11:59 p.m. on Tuesday night.

There are two ways to register to vote:

From your computer: To register online, you'll need a valid Oregon driver's license, permit or ID card. Register to vote online.

At a local office: You can register at your local county election, post office, library or DMV. Your registration must be postmarked before 11:59 p.m. on October 15. You can print and fill out a voter registration form beforehand.

Find the location of your county election office

If you think you're already registered, visit My Vote. There you can see the following:

  • Check if you're registered
  • Update voter registration information
  • Check status of ballot
  • Find contact info for county election office
  • Find contact info for elected officials
  • Find ballot drop site

Ballots will be mailed starting on Oct. 16. If you'll be away from home on Election Day, request an absentee ballot as soon as possible.
