MOLALLA, Ore — MOLALLA ,Ore. A family of five escaped a two alarm fire early Monday morning in Molalla.

The Canby Fire Department confirms that one woman was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening burns. The rest of the family was not transported.

The Molalla Fire Department says the fire started in a back bedroom in the home located near South Pierce and Sawtell roads.

Due to a a lack of water near the home, Molalla Fire called in mutual aid from other fire districts including Canby. Water had to be trucked in five miles to be used on the home.

Canby Fire says the fire was contained to the back two bedrooms but the home will be a total loss due to extensive heat and smoke damage.
