VANCOUVER, Wash. — Police are looking for a suspect in two armed robberies that happened about 20 minutes apart and four miles from each other Sunday morning.
The first robbery happened at about 9 a.m., at Oscars Market at 4901 NE Saint Johns Road. A clerk told police a man entered the grocery store, showed a weapon and demanded money. After taking a small amount of money, the suspect fled the store on foot.
Officers from the Clark County Sheriff's Office and Vancouver Police Department responded and searched for the suspect but were unable to find him.
While they were searching, a second report of an armed robbery came in, at about 9:19 a.m., at the Minit Mart at 1901 Kauffman Avenue. The suspect came into the convenience store, showed a weapon and demanded money. Police searched but were unable to find the suspect.
The suspect in each robbery was described the same, 18 to 20 years old, about 5-foot-10 with black hair and a brown work jacket. He was wearing a ski mask during the robberies.
