DEPOE BAY, Ore. -- Two men died after the boat they were on capsized off of Depoe Bay Friday evening.

They were identified as 81-year-old James William Warren, of McMinnville, and 69-year-old Robert Lawrence Zimmel, of Forest Grove. The boat was registered to Warren.

The U.S. Coast Guard received a call shortly before 5 p.m. about the overturned boat. They have not determined what caused the boat to capsize.

A Coast Guard spokesman initially said two others may be missing, but investigators have determined Warren and Zimmel were the only two people on the boat.

Warren and Zimmel were not wearing life vests when their bodies were recovered. There's no evidence of foul play, according to Oregon State Police.

An investigation is ongoing.
