Portland drivers among worst in U.S., survey says

According to the survey, Portland drivers are 25 percent more likely to get into an at-fault crash than the average driver and 40 percent more likely to receive a speeding ticket.

PORTLAND, Ore. — A recent study suggests that Portland drivers are among the worst in the United States.

The list was compiled by Insurify, an online car insurance platform. The company asked shoppers if they'd been cited for a crash where they were at fault in the past seven years.

After finding the city in each state that had the highest percentage of drivers reporting incidents, they ranked the Top 20. Portland came in at No. 11.

The survey cited that 26.6 percent of drivers in Portland reported they've been in a crash where they were at fault.

According to the survey, Portland drivers are 25 percent more likely to get into an at-fault crash than the average driver and 40 percent more likely to receive a speeding ticket.

Spokane, Washington ranks No. 4 on the list, with 29.1 percent of drivers having been the at-fault party in a crash. In Spokane, drivers are 21 percent more likely to get in an at-fault crash than the average driver, while they're 65 percent more likely to get a speeding ticket. Slow down!
