An outdoor burn ban will be in effect starting Wednesday in all parts of Multnomah County.

The burn ban includes recreational campfires, fire pits and yard debris. It also includes agricultural burning and permits issued for open burning.

Outdoor barbecuing will be allowed, but fire officials say everyone should use extreme caution while grilling.

The county fire defense board chief issued the ban due to high temperatures in the forecast and the current dry conditions.
